FINALLY–Apparel with something to say!

Introducing the 12on/12off T-shirts and baseball caps!

Once upon a time, a relatively unknown but ambitious cinematographer became frightened of production’s practice of working unreasonably long hours and providing very little turnaround time for his crew. This idealistic cameraman decided it would be awfully swell to see entire crews attired in T-shirts proclaiming 12 hours of work and 12 hours of turnaround as a standard. The "12on/12off" mantra was born, and it soon gave birth to the 12on/12off T-shirts at www.12on12off.com

The Web site is a focal point for discussion, images and information about the practice of reasonable work hours. It’s also one of the many places you can purchase these T-shirts and, now, baseball caps! In the short time that the Web site has been online, more than 2,000 visitors have checked in, contributed pictures and purchased shirts. The concept has since caught the attention of crew folk, producers, ASC members and celebrities from around the globe! T-shirts have been shipped to Greece, Portugal, U.K., Australia, France, Norway, Belgium, Germany and all over the United States.

Haskell Wexler, ASC:
"It is up to us as individuals to organize ourselves and stand up for safety in the workplace. These shirts and hats are a great way for us to create a voice! When I first heard about the 12on/12off T-shirts, I immediately bought several for my friends and crew!"

Roy H. Wagner, ASC:
"This issue is as old as history, management and labor! The more we stand together, the less we will have to appear as this tough group of rogues. There are few more fun and effective ways for us to do this than with these shirts and hats!"

Steve Gainer:
"Read it. Believe it. Live it!"

David Walpole - Australian CML Moderator
"The 12on12off campaign is a perfect example of what can be achieved via the vehicle that is CML. It’s the level of cooperation amongst this diverse community that is at the heart of this new movement. I am glad I have been able to see this good work come to fruition."

Derek Gross - New York Gaffer
"I'm on a shoot right now where, after some confusion with turnaround and meal graces, I was asked to shop steward. Many on the set asked what my policies were and questioned me because of my age – understandable, given that I’m the youngest on the crew. I wore my 12on/12off shirt the next day and the questions went out the door."

Ted Wiegand - Producer/Director/Cinematographer
"I feel free to wear my 12on/12off T-shirt because I shoot, direct and produce and don't fear repercussions. If anything, it will provoke conversation about the subject and send a message to my crew about what I believe in."

Roderick E. Stevens:
"I like the black shirt. It’s slimming!"

THE SHIRTS:
These heavy-duty, 100% cotton shirts come in two styles and in white with black logo or black with white logo. "Logo Only" is for those who feel the 12on/12off logo speaks for itself, and "+ 3 Rules" gives rubberneckers somethin’ to read! Shirts are available in S, M, L, XL and XXL, and even in children’s sizes for the little ones who are tired of putting in the long hours!

THE HATS:
This is a top-quality, six-panel, black twill baseball cap. The 12on/12off logo is embroidered in white on the front, with www.12on12off.com embroidered on the back over the velcro fastener.
