Kuras, ASC, interviewed by popular cinematography journalist Bob Fisher.
Ms. Kuras’ impressive filmography since 1987 includes Unzipped,
I Shot Andy Warhol,Postcards from America
and Spike Lee’s Academy Award-nominated documentary 4 Little
Girls. Additional credits include Summer of Sam, Bamboozled,
Blow, The Mod Squad, Personal Velocity, the
upcoming Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Rose and the Snake.
She is a two-time recipient of Sundance Film Festival’s Best Cinematography
Award for Swoon and Angela.

The American Society of Cinematographers
was founded in 1919 for the purpose of discussing technical and creative
issues, which were defining the future of the art form. Membership is
by invitation based on the individual's body of narrative film work. There
are some 230 active members today in some 20 countries, and around 120
