The
American Society of Cinematographers cordially invites you to come meet
and greet this year's ASC Outstanding Achievement Award honorees and nominees
at a special open house and live Internet chat. Mark the date on your
calendar now! The open house will take place at the historic ASC Clubhouse
on Saturday, February 7, 2004, the day before the 18th
Annual ASC Awards ceremony, and will run from 11:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. The Internet
chat, a perfect way to participate if you can’t make it in person,
will be hosted from the Clubhouse between noon and 2 p.m.
You won't want to miss the opportunity to mingle with the ASC Outstanding Achievement Award honorees and nominees, who are some of the most notable filmmakers of the year. This is your chance to meet such talented artists as Michael Chapman, ASC (Lifetime Achievement Award recipient), Miroslav Ondricek, ASC (International Achievement Award recipient), Howard Anderson Jr. (President's Award recipient), Irwin Winkler (Board of Governors Award recipient), and Kevin Brownlow (Special tribute recipient). Also in attendance will be ASC Award feature film nominees Russell Boyd, ACS, Master and Commander: The Far Side of theWorld; Andrew Lesnie, ACS, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King; Jon Schwartzman, ASC, Seabiscuit; John Seale, ASC, ACS, Cold Mountain; and John Toll, ASC, The Last Samurai.
There is no fee for attending the open house or participating in the Internet chat. Both events will take place at the ASC Clubhouse, located at 1782 North Orange Drive in Hollywood. For more information, check out www.theasc.com.
