ASC and American Cinematographer
News
American
Cinematographer recently won a Folio: Gold Award for Editorial
Excellence, or “Eddie,” during a ceremony that capped the
annual Folio: Show in New York City. The show is the nation's largest
conference and exposition for the magazine industry.
AC won the top prize in the Entertainment category after submitting
its October 2002 issue for consideration. The ASC’s flagship publication
has now earned a remarkable four Eddies over the past seven years. The
magazine earned Gold Awards in 1996 and 2000, and a Silver Award in
2002.

The American Society of Cinematographers announced
that renowned producer/director Irwin Winkler will
receive this year's Board of Governors Award at the
annual ASC Awards for Outstanding Cinematography, to
be held on February 8 in Los Angeles.
