QUADRIGA is an automated ‘capturing’ station for quality-controlled analogue to digital conversion of sound archives to digital interim data storage systems (DAT, CDR), and/or digital mass storage systems. QUADRIGA utilizes sophisticated technology unique to the AudioCube platform, providing automated monitoring and logging of both analogue and digital audio streams for technical parameters of archival significance. For example: audio drop outs, clipping, clicks, hum, signal to noise ratio, azimuth/phase, analogue distortion error, and splice identification and analysis, among others. The captured audio data can be stored in the standardized EBU Broadcast Wavefile Format (BWF) together with all related metadata and error reports. This frees system operators from monotonous and time consuming procedures, while guaranteeing the highest possible level of quality control and dramatically reducing archive transfer costs.
