With the explosion of new low-cost acquisition technology, new post production software, and new low-cost distribution channels, the growing number of aspiring filmmakers of all ages looking for educational resources has risen dramatically. StudentFilmmakers magazine provides new opportunities to learn and connect with educational groups and organizations, creative communities, and the manufacturers and distributors of industry equipment, software and services. There are tens of thousands of new filmmakers joining our ranks each year, throughout the world, seeking information about new techniques and technologies. In an industry that changes each day, these filmmakers need to keep abreast of the cutting edge tools of the trade. These filmmakers are working in the industry as interns and assistants, or they may be independent filmmakers starting on that life dream.
